Ch.1: Greetings

It was the night before all the Bachelor’s arrived and Ophelia’s nerves had settled themselves into her dreams. She had tossed and turned at the thoughts of meeting a bunch of strangers but she knew she was doing the right thing because there was no turning back now!

The Next morning, Ophelia stood on her porch waiting for the first bachelor to arrive…

Isaac Oakley was the first to arrive and Ophelia didn’t notice anything special just from his walk but he was polite.

Ophelia: Hi, you must be Isaac Oakley?

Issac: Y-yes that’s me

Ophelia: you can go right in, living room’s on the right

As he walked in, Isaac mumbled under his breath as he gave himself a talk “why can’t you just look at her and say, I think your home looks as elegant and charming as you, all you had to do was look at her and say it but no instead you just walk away”

Ophelia had heard his compliment and blushed a bit but she suddenly saw something in him but she wasn’t sure what.

The next Bachelor arrived and Ophelia was taken aback, he looked like he walked right out one of her best friends books…

Ike: Hi! I’m Isaac Schenider, but please call me Ike.

Ophelia took a step back to collect herself, what was she thinking of course he wasn’t a character from a book!

Ophelia: Hello, I’m Ophelia, you can take a seat in the living room just turn right after going in.

Ike: Ok, hope to chat with you some more.

And with that Ike went inside

The next Bachelor arrived and Ophelia thought he looked like he’d seen some rough days but could tell he pulled through.

Leo: Hi! I’m Leo, you must be Ophelia.

Ophelia nodded taken back by his sudden approach all she could manage was a nod. Then she looked at his hands which looked rough.

Ophelia blurted out: you know if you put some hand lotion on it’ll soften the rough spots

Leo shrugged: Thanks for the tip, but I like them rough it tells my story in a way.

Ophelia nodded knowing exactly what he meant

Ophelia: have a seat in the living room it’s on the right.

Leo: Thanks!

Ophelia watched as the next bachelor walked up and she couldn’t help but note he walked as if he owned the world

Ophelia: Hi, and you are?

Roderick: Honey, I’m everything you’re looking for

Ophelia was surprised by his comment and wondered what made him think he was the one when he barely knew her?

Ophelia: Go on in, living room is too your right.

The first thing Ophelia noted about the next Bachelor was the hair her eyes light up when she saw it was the same red coloring as her.

Korbin and Ophelia: Hi!

Ophelia actually became excited after seeing his red hair…

Ophelia giggling: Please excuse me, it’s just I rarely see another with my same hair coloring so I get excited when I do meet someone.

Korbin smiling: I know what you mean; meeting a ginger just isn’t the same

Ophelia: Exactly!

Korbin and Ophelia laughed together at the inside joke among red-heads than Ophelia noted the time

Ophelia: the next bachelor coming soon, so go on in the living room is too your right.

The next bachelor walked up and the first thing Ophelia saw was his tattoos. She didn’t have anything against them nor did she want one but she couldn’t help admiring the talent of the artist who had done them.

Ophelia: Nice tattoos, who did them?

Cooper was taken aback by her question, people didn’t normally ask him about his tattoos just strange stares for having them.

Cooper: Uh…a friend

Ophelia stepped closer to admire the art work up close and Cooper didn’t know what to make of it

Ophelia finished her examination and her cheeks went red with embarrassment: Living room is to your right

Ophelia stood on her porch checking the time as the last bachelor took his time appearing. She heard the front door open behind her…

Peter: Are we going to be waiting much longer?

Ophelia: The last Bachelor hasn’t arrived yet so I don’t know

Peter: you mean there’s 8 of us and not 7?

Ophelia turned around and was shocked to see the last bachelor she had been waiting for.

Ophelia: When did you get here?

Peter looked at Ophelia confused: I’ve been here…I arrived when Isaac Oakley did.

Ophelia knew the only person she had seen walk up to the front door was Isaac this morning and she stated so to Peter

Peter: oh, yeah he was the only one, I came in through the back door cause I thought it was the front.

Ophelia didn’t really know what to say and just walked past him inside.

Ophelia looked at each bachelor after sitting down

Ophelia: thank you all for coming, I know today has been a long day and some of you must be tired from your travels so please make yourselves at home. If you go through the kitchen there is a room on the other side with some beds and there’s another room upstairs with some more beds. I’ll leave it up to you to decide who’s sleeping where. I hope you enjoy your stay.

And with that Ophelia retired to her room wondering what tomorrow would bring.
